Paul's
education, independence, awareness of self, responsibilities and subsequent recognition of
his place in society all started when he had to leave school at the tender age of fourteen. It was
wartime 1942. He followed the family tradition and entered the film industry - what better place to be for an aspiring young artist.
Over many years Paul learned well from the best exponents of the countless art forms that come together in the production of motion pictures. All the
arts - without exception - have, in one way or another, enhanced his
natural ability and understanding of the processes involved in producing a work of art.
While no longer involved with movie production, Paul maintains a steady output of pictures of the stationary kind. As a surrealist and nonconformist of long standing,
Paul loyally adheres to the principal of assigning reality to the "boring basket".
